About NeatPaste
NeatPaste is a small collection of 14 focused text tools — cleaning up AI-generated writing, fixing broken formatting, converting between formats, and answering quick questions like "how many characters is this?" Every tool solves one problem, does it well, and gets out of the way.
Everything happens in your browser
None of the tools on this site send your text anywhere. When you paste something into a text box here, the JavaScript running in your own browser reads it, transforms it, and shows you the result — there is no server in the middle, no upload, and no copy of your text kept anywhere. You can check this yourself: open your browser's network tab while using any tool and you won't see your text going out over the wire. This also means there's nothing to sign up for. No account, no email address, no "free trial." You open a tool, use it, and leave.
Tool philosophy
Each tool exists because a specific, recurring annoyance needed a fix: text pasted from ChatGPT carrying invisible characters and curly quotes, spreadsheet cells that need to become a Markdown table, a list with duplicate lines. Rather than one do-everything text editor, the site is a set of small single-purpose pages, each aimed at one search someone might type into Google. That keeps each tool simple to use and easy to trust.
Who runs this
NeatPaste is an independent, one-person project — not a company, and not backed by a team. It's built and maintained in spare time, and new tools get added when a genuine need for one comes up. If something is broken or a tool you need is missing, start at the contact page.
